Ned Nwoko Appeals to Nigerians to Leave Regina Daniels Alone

Senator Ned Nwoko has appealed to Nigerians, bloggers and fans to give his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, privacy and space to recover amid concerns about her health.

The lawmaker made the appeal in a statement shared on his Instagram page on Monday, November 2, 2026. He expressed concern about what he described as false reports concerning the actress, including fabricated death announcements and misleading claims about her personal life.

Nwoko urged the public to show compassion rather than add to the difficulties she may be facing.

“I want to make a sincere appeal to the public, particularly Regina’s fans, friends, bloggers and social media commentators, to please give Regina some breathing space,” he said.

Nwoko Says Regina Needs Support

The senator explained that his appeal was not only about Daniels but also about their two children, Munir and Khalifa.

According to him, the children deserve to see their mother supported and given every opportunity to recover.

Nwoko also referred to a video Daniels shared on her 25th birthday in October, in which she appeared in a wheelchair and discussed some of the health challenges she had experienced.

He said the video offered the public a glimpse into her difficulties and urged people not to judge or criticise her over her condition.

“Regina has been through a lot, more than many people may realise, and right now, what she needs most is love, support and the opportunity to recover,” he said.

He further urged fans to discourage the spread of misleading stories rather than share them for attention or engagement.

Senator Warns Against False Reports

Nwoko expressed particular concern about reports falsely claiming that Daniels had died, as well as other publications containing misleading information about her health and personal circumstances.

He said such reports could cause distress and make an already difficult situation more challenging for the actress.

The lawmaker warned bloggers and social media users against deliberately spreading false information about Daniels.

He also disclosed that the publications were being documented and warned that those found responsible could face legal action through the appropriate channels.
