Davido Recreates Proposal to Wife Chioma in New ‘Already Falling’ Music Video
Nigerian Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has given fans another romantic moment with his wife, Chioma Adeleke, in the newly released music video for his love song, Already Falling.
The video, released on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, features the couple in several romantic scenes, culminating in Davido getting down on one knee to present Chioma with a ring.
The gesture has attracted attention because the singer and his wife are already married. Rather than announcing a new engagement, the scene recreates a marriage proposal as part of the video’s love story.
Davido Goes Down on One Knee for Chioma
One of the video’s standout moments takes place beside a lake, where Davido kneels before Chioma and presents her with a ring.
The romantic scene forms the climax of a video that places their relationship at the centre of the song’s visual narrative.
Elsewhere, the couple appear together in coordinated outfits, sharing affectionate moments that reinforce the video’s romantic theme.
In another scene, Chioma takes the wheel of a car while Davido performs the song, offering viewers a different glimpse of the couple together on screen.
The production combines elaborate settings, stylish costumes and romantic imagery to create a cinematic celebration of their relationship.
‘Already Falling’ Continues Davido’s Love Story With Chioma
The new release continues a musical tradition in which Davido has celebrated his relationship with Chioma through songs and music videos.
In 2018, the singer released Assurance, a love song dedicated to Chioma when they were dating. She appeared in its music video, which became one of the most recognisable romantic releases of his career.
Chioma also featured in the video for 1 Milli, released in 2020, which incorporated wedding-inspired imagery.
With Already Falling, Davido has brought his wife back into the spotlight, once again making their relationship part of his musical storytelling.
The new video also reunites the couple on screen in a production directed by Meji Alabi, who previously directed Assurance.
When Did Davido and Chioma Get Married?
Davido and Chioma celebrated their traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024. They subsequently held their white wedding in Miami, Florida, in August 2024.
Their relationship has remained a prominent part of the singer’s public life, with Chioma featuring in several of his musical projects over the years.
Against that background, the proposal scene in Already Falling serves as a romantic recreation of their commitment rather than a new marriage announcement.
Fans Revisit Davido and Chioma’s Romantic Journey
The video’s release has given fans another opportunity to discuss the couple’s relationship and compare the new visuals with their earlier appearances together in Davido’s music.
For longtime followers, the return to a romantic storyline featuring Chioma recalls the era of Assurance, which helped establish their relationship as a familiar part of Nigerian pop culture.
The new release also places their relationship at the centre of Davido’s ongoing musical catalogue, allowing the singer to connect his earlier love songs with his present life as a married man.
Ultimately, Already Falling uses music and visual storytelling to celebrate a relationship that has evolved from dating to marriage.
Rather than introducing a new engagement, Davido’s latest video offers a cinematic reminder of a commitment the couple have already made.
